Worship Life

We gather each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. to receive God's gifts to us using primarily the Lutheran Service Book.

Additional worship services are offered on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. during the seasons of Advent and Lent.

We celebrate the Lord's Supper on the 2nd & 4th (and 5th) Sundays of the month, as well as on special feast days (Christmas, Maundy Thursday, Easter, etc.)

Bible Studies

Several Bible studies are offered throughout the week:

  • Sundays: 9:15 a.m. All are welcome.
  • Wednesdays: 9:30 a.m. (Women's Bible study)
  • Thursdays: 11:00 a.m. (Men's Bible study)

the mission of shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran church

Our mission at Shepherd of the Mountains is to carry on Christ's mission into the world, loving our neighbors and serving all we meet as we join with other Lutheran Church Missouri Synod congregations in proclaiming the Gospel to the people of Pinetop-Lakeside and Show Low, to the rest of Arizona and the United States, and to the ends of the earth.

If you have not previously participated in Holy Communion here at Shepherd of the Mountains and wish to do so, please first introduce yourself to our Pastor or one of our elders, in order that all those who will commune together and who will share the one bread and the one cup—may be assured that we share as well, the same confession and understanding.

john bremer memorial everything on a stick party and basket auction!

For 20 years John and Lynne have hosted this event. Lynne decided she would like to continue the tradition in honor of her beloved husband. A Stick Party is just that.  You need to bring a food item, but it can only be eaten from a stick.  There will be NO utensils used! John loved being with his fellow Lutherans and he did this by opening up his house and having a good time being in fellowship with them. In addition to the stick party, there is also a basket auction to raise money for our church. Anyone can put together a basket of gifts and prizes and bring it to be auctioned off. The more, the better! This year, you can designate your contributions to go to either the Aid and Assistance Fund or the General Fund.

The event will be held on June 10th at John and Lynne's house.  Please ask Lynne, an elder or anyone who has been there before for directions if you have never been there.

Come join us that day to remember and honor John, to have a good time in fellowship with each other and with our Lord and to help out our church!
